Over the past year and a half, we have heard many of our loyal viewers ask us how they can support the show in a monetary fashion. Personally, it's not easy for me to ask others for money to do something I love. But, someone recently compared it to being a street performer. The street performer goes out, does what he loves, and leaves open his guitar case for people to throw some change in.

This page is our guitar case.

This is NOT a tax-deductible donation. You are, essentially, donating to an individual. An individual who will be paying income tax if we get more than a certain amount before December 31st. The money will be catalogued here on this page and every penny will be spent on server and bandwidth fees, service payments on our phone lines (Skype and Toll Free), games for the show, and, hopefully, marketing to get more viewers.

Currently, the show is financed through my personal income and this would just be supplanting it. I'm not expecting this to come even close to paying for everything that we need to make the show run. But, every little bit helps.

For those who perhaps look down upon us for asking for money for doing a hobbyist podcast, please look at it from our point of view. The initial setup to get the hardware, cabling, and some software for the show was about $2000. Combining server hosting and bandwidth fees, monthly payments on our phone lines, breaking down the Xbox Live Gold membership to it's monthly payment, plus the fact that we buy the games we play on the show, FNG costs anywhere between $150 and $350 a month just to put on. And this does not count doing ANY marketing (fliers in the local area, ads on the web, etc) to grow our audience. We are limited to word of mouth advertising, and we are not large enough to attract business sponsors of our own.

This is by no means a requirement. We will not be withholding content from people who don't donate. FNG is not going away if you don't donate. You will not be looked down upon if you don't donate. If we had to choose between your dollars and your viewership, we would choose your viewership every single time. But if we can get both, what's the harm in asking? The worst answer we could get is "hell no" and then a punch to the face.
